Limited Term Professorship

How to apply

There will be no Limited Term Professorship awarded for the 2011-12 academic year as one was awarded recently.

This is awarded to a professor at a university for a three to five year commitment. Following that, the award will be open for new submissions. The appointed professor will act as a liaison with industry representatives and do research in the capital markets.

Required proposal

The applicant, in connection with his or her university, should submit a proposal outlining what they would do to fulfill their role as the Limited Term Professor. The Foundation may consider an individual professor's ideas on the role they and their institution can play in meeting the Foundation's goals and objectives.

The proposal should include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to, Canadian capital markets.
• Brief description of your research and/or professional experience.
• Current areas of interest and research.
• Biographical information — education, contact information.
• Aims or goals you would hope to accomplish during the term.
• Other information or commitments you feel the selection committee should be aware of.
• Suggestions regarding the content and scope of the yearly reporting you will to commit to.
